Nick teaches exclusively at the Madison Music Foundry in Madison, Wisconsin. He is available for lessons in-person (with Covid-19 precautions) or online via Zoom. To schedule a lesson with him, please contact the Madison Music Foundry or Nick directly. Lesson rates are $30 per 30 minutes and are paid in monthly installments.

Nick is a classically-trained musician with advanced degrees in music composition (DMA, MM, BM) with a strong emphasis in guitar and music theory. He has taught for a number of years in higher education, therefore, just because you are signed up for guitar lessons doesn’t mean you only have to talk guitar. Nick regularly works with students on composing, songwriting, music theory, how to listen, analyze, and talk about music, and discussing musical philosophies, aesthetics, concepts, history, and more. If you have a question, don’t hesitate to ask.

Additional benefits of studying with Nick include email support outside of your scheduled lesson time and access to Nick’s Google drive which includes special content created specifically for his students in both standard notation and guitar tablature. This includes, but is not limited to:
